The trained workers at Barod treat individuals with drug and alcohol addiction by providing various free services. The services that are offered at Barod include blood borne virus assessment, naloxone training and dispensing, needle exchange, drug education and harm reduction education. They also offer art classes, drama groups, music groups, photography groups, walking groups, rock climbing, cooking classes and more. The staff can also provide relaxation services to help clients manage cravings and withdrawals. They offer acupuncture, mindfulness and Indian head massage. Clients can also receive brief counseling services that range from 15-30 minutes in length. Motivational interviewing and relapse prevention techniques are used in those sessions.
