Holistic, Evidence-based CareblueFire Wilderness Therapy, located in the desert highlands of Southern Idaho, is a leading wilderness therapy program for troubled teenagers and young adults dealing with substance use as well as emotional, social, and behavioral issues. They take a holistic approach to teen treatment and employ evidence-based practices. Pre-Teens ages 11-14, teens ages 15-17, and young adults ages 18-28 can take part in a full adventure experience that will benefit both them and their families. blueFire Wilderness accepts some insurance providers.Family Systems ApproachblueFire Wilderness blends evidence-based counseling, outdoor adventure, academic assistance, and a family systems approach. Clients can earn credits for middle school and high school within the program. Their wilderness adventure treatment for at-risk adolescents assists teens in overcoming obstacles and becoming the greatest versions of themselves.Daily Adventure CampEach week, groups begin at their base camp, where clients spend several days performing individual and group treatment, equine therapy, preparing meals, cleaning up, and getting ready for the weekly treks. A typical day involves activities like rock climbing, mountain biking on nearby routes, or canoeing and kayaking. All of these activities are carried out in groups. Clients will also work on daily curriculum, journal writing, and an evening campfire meetings following supper.
