Bluff is an inpatient facility that treats men and women who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders. Bluff is affiliated with the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University, is part of the Rivermend Health Centers Network, and is a member of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine). Bluff uses physiological and evidence-based approaches with holistic methods grounded in hard science. The therapies that are used include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-Step method, individual therapy, life skills, group therapy, equine therapy, yoga, hiking, and a neuroscience-driven approach. Bluff is accredited by the Joint Commission. They work with most insurance companies.Bluff sits on a tranquil and lush 178 acres of Augusta, Georgia land near the Savannah River. The main building is a refurbished hunting lodge. The lodge is surrounded by 4 cottages that have 2 rooms, and each room has 2 full-sized beds. Bluff can accommodate up to 16 clients. Bluff does not have internet or TV to create a peaceful environment where clients can focus on recovery. Meals are served family-style and are prepared by a professional kitchen staff, including a 5 star chef. Meals are created to naturally increase clients’ dopamine levels through proper nutrition.
