About This Facility
Carson Valley Children’s Aid (CVCA) provides behavioral health and substance use services for children, youth, and families in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties. Services address trauma, substance use disorder, and emotional challenges through multiple levels of care, including prevention, outpatient treatment, and community-based residential programs. CVCA uses a trauma-informed model that supports individuals in overcoming adversity and building stable, healthy futures.Access Care in Safe, Supportive SpacesCare is delivered in homes, schools, and community settings through a collaborative, strength-based approach. Youth in need of out-of-home support may live in supervised community homes, where up to four residents receive care from a Professional Parent and follow a treatment plan with life skills development. Currently, 40 youth are supported in 11 homes across both counties. Additional services include individual and group therapy, crisis counseling, and personalized goal-setting to promote long-term stability.Maintain Stability Through Extended ServicesCVCA also offers truancy prevention, rapid response programs, and family-centered support designed to reduce school absences and prevent family separation. Clients and families can remain connected through alumni services and follow-up care, helping them maintain progress and stay engaged beyond formal treatment.
