Working to advance the health and well-being of American Indians, Alaska Native people, and low income individuals, Chapa-De offers a range of services including behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. Their outpatient services include psychiatry, mental health counseling, routine screenings, education, medication-assisted treatment, recovery groups, nurse case management, and referrals. All care at Chapa-De is free for American Indians.Addiction and Substance Use ServicesChapa-De uses buprenorphine and naloxone (suboxone) for medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Along with MAT, they introduce strategies to quit smoking and also offer education about available medications to quit smoking. They offer a Red Road to Recovery talking circle, which is based on the native teachings from Red Road to Wellbriety of the White Bison Recovery Movement. They also have alcohol recovery groups using the SMART Recovery model.
