Chrysalis Children Center

Providing expert behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and their families, this outpatient center offers a path to healing through individual, group, and family therapy, alongside specialized programs like parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) for young individuals ages 2.5 to 6. The center focuses on creating a supportive environment that helps young people strengthen relationships, develop emotional regulation, and rediscover confidence in a safe, supportive space. Fostering Positive Behaviors with PRIDE SkillsThe center’s recovery-based approach empowers families and promotes quality of life. Through PCIT, caregivers learn PRIDE (Praise, Reflect, Imitate, Describe and Enjoyment) skills to foster positive behaviors and reduce parenting stress. Licensed therapists also use evidence-based methods like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and attachment therapy, building care on compassion and respect to ensure every family feels heard and supported on their journey.Environment and Family SupportDesigned for comfort and creativity, the Chrysalis Children Center features themed therapy rooms to promote calmness and safety. From a purple room that offers art and music for creative expression, to a calming yellow room provides a quiet space with books for teens. The green room features PCIT games and a puppet theatre, and the blue room contains specialized equipment to support trauma-informed emotional regulation. A dedicated care team encourages and welcomes parents and caregivers to be involved in the delivery of care and support, and learn how to begin and sustain the path towards healing.
