Clients engage in various evidence-based therapies throughout treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), contingency management, motivational interviewing techniques, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and family therapy.Primary and Co-Occurring Mental Health TreatmentFirst City Recovery Center’s mental health stabilization program provides intensive residential care for clients needing constant supervision and crisis care. They additionally treat co-occurring addiction and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, self-harm, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).Comprehensive Approach With Specialty ProgramsFirst City Recovery Center offers holistic therapies like art and music therapy, mindfulness meditation, experiential therapy, psychodrama, and journaling. They have a veterans program focusing on trauma and PTSD recovery. FCRC’s post-traumatic growth (PTG) program prioritizes resilience and stress reduction to promote independence and confidence as clients return to independent living.
