They provide NDIS respite care for people with disabilities that need a break from life stressors.Comprehensive Care and Recovery for VeteransGunnebah’s structured program focuses on building life skills, developing insight, and crafting healthy lifelong habits. Treatment includes individual therapy, adventure therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), exercise, nutrition, meditation and mindfulness, yoga, and more. Clients will discuss various topics, including relationships, communication skills, finances, emotions, and physical well-being.Gunnebah offers a recovery program for veterans that merges effective addiction treatment with the understanding of their particular life experiences. Treatment is led by professionals who are well-versed in the nuances of veterans’ well-being and the DVA’s processes. Clients can relax and embrace recovery in their facility tucked away in the lush countryside as they engage in evidence-based psychotherapies and holistic healing methods. Gold or White card holders can apply for funding for a residential stay at Gunnebah, including post-discharge group aftercare and 1:1 follow-up sessions.Structured TreatmentA typical day at Gunnebah begins with exercise when clients can participate in activities like yoga, boxercise, or group fitness. Individual counseling sessions are held twice a week, while group therapy sessions are held every day except Sunday. Family is welcome to visit on Sundays, as clients wish, or clients can simply enjoy free time. Art therapy and adventure therapies allow for creative engagement in the healing process. Gunnebah helps clients rediscover joy through activities like surfing, sea kayaking, hiking, and more.A Unique and Restorative ExperienceLess than a 1-hour drive from the Gold Coast, Gunnebah is in a beautiful, tranquil valley close to some of Australia's most scenic national parks and beaches. Clients are immersed in nature with on-site lush green fields, a produce garden, and friendly farm animals. Inside, clients will enjoy private rooms in a charming mud brick bungalow. Most rooms open onto covered patios with outdoor furniture and native gardens. Gunnebah’s lounge and dining area is the community hub for relaxing and socializing. Clients can enjoy a large gym, sauna, saltwater pool, and gourmet dining. Gunnebah provides a natural atmosphere with plenty of recreational activities, ideal for men and women seeking to connect with nature in recovery.
