About This Facility

Set downtown near Route 1, Liberation Programs' Stamford location counsels clients in a residential or intensive outpatient (IOP) setting. Their residential program serves up to 64 clients at a time. They primarily serve clients at their office, but they can set up telehealth appointments as needed.Harm Reduction through Therapy and MedicationLiberation Programs aims to meet clients where they are using a harm reduction approach. Their program includes 1-on-1, group, and family counseling plus medication (Buprenorphine, Naltrexone, or Suboxone) to reduce cravings and help clients focus on treatment. Even if clients aren't ready to stop using drugs entirely, Liberation helps them avoid overdoses and carries Narcan (naloxone) to administer in case of an overdose.Inpatient and Family ResourcesFor pregnant and parenting women, Liberation Programs has gender-specific inpatient care that focuses on individual and family needs with trauma-sensitive therapy. They allow moms to bring up to 2 kids ages 0-10. This Families in Recovery Program (FIRP) has tailored life skill training and peer support to help moms and kids transition back to the community.Prevention and Outreach ServicesIn addition to treatment, Liberation runs preventative services to help adults and youth in the community avoid addiction or mental health issues in the future. They have recovery coaches on staff, including coaches with special experience serving clients who are pregnant or parenting. For families who need housing during their recovery, Liberation provides 18 units. Their mobile outreach vans offer treatment referrals, prescriptions for medication, and educational resources. Their team is also happy to go to community events and schools to talk about substance use.
