Meridian's Maternal Treatment Program provides outpatient care and support to moms who are struggling with substance use disorder while caring for their newborns. The major goal is to reduce the number of babies admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to addiction withdrawal. The program's services include holistic health approaches, with the goal of preventing, educating, treating, and providing community support to those in its care. The program aims to impact the lives of children born into addicted families by addressing the holistic well-being of moms in crisis.Trauma-Focused TreatmentTreatment includes individual and group counseling focused on trauma, parenting and nutrition, medication-assisted treatment, case management, and care coordination with a pediatrician. In addition, Meridian Health also works with programs that provide residential care and sober living homes for pregnant women in need.
