Teen programs are built on family involvement, implementing multidimensional family therapy (MDFT), parent education, and relapse prevention as part of individualized treatment plans.Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)The intensive outpatient program (IOP) combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) using the Matrix Model with 12-Step facilitation, group therapy, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention strategies. Treatment may also include eye movement desensitization and reconditioning (EMDR), brainspotting, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), depending on individual needs. The Hemet Outpatient Treatment Center stresses family involvement, with family and couples counseling available as part of treatment. Participants also receive psychiatric monitoring and medication management for co-occurring conditions like depression and anxiety as well as primary care for other medical needs. The IOP includes day or evening treatment options, for flexibility with work and other commitments.Standard outpatient programs include 6-9 hours of treatment weekly and may be a better fit for individuals requiring less intensive treatment or who have demanding work and family commitments.
