Situated in a small rural town surrounded by forests, open land, and several nearby lakes, Northwest Journey Siren is a supportive place for kids and teens in Wisconsin who need help with their mental health. It is a community-based day program for young people who need more than just weekly appointments. The team works to help kids and strengthen families right where they live. It serves youth who face challenges at home or school, or those returning from inpatient care. Clients receive individualized treatment plans that build on their strengths. This structured support includes individual, family, and group counseling. Therapists also work with local schools to meet academic needs. To help clients attend, Northwest Journey organizes round-trip transportation to the program. The program's goal is to help children and families learn healthy new skills and build positive relationships.Carry Hope Into the FutureOther programs include school-based outreach and community mentoring. Treatment uses evidence-informed methods, with group sessions focusing on coping skills, anger management, and self-esteem. As clients prepare to leave, the team creates a plan for a smooth return to their school and community. This discharge plan includes recommendations for continued success.
