Set just north of Atlanta, Peachford cares for children, teens 13-18, adults, and seniors 65+ in dedicated units for residential, day (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) care. The facility as a whole has 246 beds.Structured Therapy with MedicinePeachford uses a mix of therapies with a 12-Step basis. They employ 1-on-1 therapy, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), family therapy, group therapy, addiction education, recreation therapy, group activities like karaoke, and pet therapy. Alongside therapy, Peachford prescribes medication and operates their pharmacy on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Peachford's treatment team includes psychiatrists, licensed counselors, social workers, registered nurses, addiction specialists, and activity therapists.Family and VisitorsPeachford believes family envolvement is important to patient's success, especially in their teen program. Each patient may have up to 2 visitors at a time. The visitors must be at least 12 years old. The visit times vary by unit.After patients leave, Peachford conducts free family follow-ups to help patients continue to recover long-term.
