Sunrise Treatment is a residential treatment facility for adolescents of all genders ages 13-17 struggling with mental health and personality disorders, as well as co-occurring substance misuse. Their highly trained staff provides individual, group, and family therapy on a weekly basis through methods like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), recreational therapy, and equine therapy. In addition to individual treatment, family involvement is strongly encouraged. Parents are invited to attend weekly sessions and quarterly family events.Recreational activitiesLocated near St. George, Utah, and close to Utah’s National Park, residents share rooms with 1-2 other people and perform daily chores to help foster a sense of responsibility. Time each day is set aside for schooling, therapy, physical activity, and studying.Since the campus is located near Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks, recreational therapy often includes trips to the parks to hike, canyoneer, swim, and enjoy the outdoors. Participants in the program can also enjoy an on-site pool, a library, and shared, spacious living spaces, while off-site activities can include bowling, shopping trips, and horseback riding.
