About This Facility
Operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and located on their reservation lands, Talihina Men's Recovery Center, is a residential treatment facility for adult men seeking treatment for substance use disorders. Their 60 day program offers an experience that encompasses 1-on-1 counseling, group therapy, family counseling, 12-step education and instruction, and relapse prevention. They help develop coping skills and offer a ropes course, amongst other treatment modalities.Culturally Rooted Healing for Native MenTo be eligible for this program, an individual must be a male 18 years or older, have a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB), live in the Choctaw service area if not a Choctaw tribal member, and have evidence of physical or mental needs related to a substance use disorder. All men must complete a phone screening and admissions application. Court-related cases and referrals are considered on a case-by-case basis
