Serving Chambers, Coosa, Clay, Cleburne, and Randolph counties, this non-profit center offers a community-based diversion program for mental health and substance use challenges. Run by The Bridge, the center supports juveniles facing potential commitment to the Department of Youth Services (DYS). Staff provide accessible intervention through individual meetings at school and in the home.Teaching Youth Essential Education and Life SkillsThe program teaches youth education and basic living skills while promoting positive parenting techniques. The center also equips youth with essential, trauma-informed coping skills. To support the entire family system, the center provides comprehensive family counseling to address relational issues and ensure all members receive necessary guidance.County Partnerships Fund Youth Diversion ServicesThe Alabama Department of Youth Services funds diversion services through local county partnerships. Separately, The Bridge secures funding for its certified substance use treatment from the Department of Mental Health.
