Young People in Recovery (YPR) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young adults, ages 18-24, in achieving long-term recovery from substance use disorders. YPR focuses on empowering individuals through advocacy, education, and peer support, creating pathways to recovery that are accessible and tailored to the unique needs of young people. The organization strives to break the stigma surrounding addiction and recovery, fostering environments where individuals can thrive.At the Merced Chapter of Young People in Recovery, we believe in creating a vibrant, supportive, and fun community for anyone on their recovery journey. We host bi-weekly pro-social events that range from fun activities to meetups that help showcase the beauty of life in recovery. Whether it’s through art, outdoor adventures, or simply gathering together, these events are designed to build strong connections and show that recovery can be full of positivity. In addition, we offer weekly All Recovery Meetings, open to anyone in recovery or supporting someone on that path.
